VLAD’S WITCHCRAFT

Mad Vlad Putin summons the dead, disabled people and kids to fight in his farcical war as mobilisation chaos deepens

PUTIN is now summoning dead and disabled conscripts to fight in his shambolic war in Ukraine as mobilisation chaos deepens across Russia.

One man in St Petersburg selected to fight against Ukraine passed away nine years ago while another is paraplegic and wheelchair-bound.

Putin's secret enlistment police threatened to smash down the dead man's door in a bid to round up conscripts, his family told news site Mediazona.

His niece said: "They promised to destroy the door, so we opened up."

While Oleg Vasiliev, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy and is unable to walk, was stunned when he was ordered to go to his nearest enlistment office.

Others called up include a foreign woman who was handed Russian citizenship just two years ago, a 63-year-old pensioner and a 16-year-old transplant patient.

The visually impaired girl, who has previously had a kidney transplant, was summoned, her mother revealed.

Marina Pisarenko, 35, whose daughter is currently abroad, said: "A summons was delivered to our St Petersburg address for my daughter Avital.

"It’s a confusion about her name. We are resolving it.

"But it is sickening, like a bad dream.

"We are half Ukrainian and my husband has been called up to fight against his own kith and kin."

Pensioner Alexander Yermolaev, 63, has also been sent to war training despite being seven years too old according to the Kremlin’s own rules.

Since Putin announced his plan to mobilise 300,000 troops back in September, Russian citizens have been pulled off the streets to make up numbers on the frontline.

The Russian disastrous invasion of Ukraine has seen thousands slaughtered on the battlefield while others have retreated or refused to take up arms.

Those looking to escape Putin's 'meat grinder' invasion have gone to extreme lengths to dodge the draft with men scrambling onto planes, cars and trains to escape.

Hundreds of thousands are estimated to have fled across the border into Georgia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

A young Russian rapper even took his own life to avoid being sent to the frontline.

Ivan Vitalievich Petunin, 27, who went by the stage name Walkie, said he couldn't "take the sin of murder on my soul" after he was called up.

But many who never for a second thought they might be enlisted, fear they could be facing jail time if they refuse to fight.

Russian Paralympian Dmitry Ignatov was handed a conscription letter despite having his leg amputated during his previous army service.

He underwent amputation surgery after an S-300 rocket launcher fell on him in the Russian city of Severodvinsk, according to the Ukrainian news magazine Focus.

However, the 32-year-old veteran turned TV presenter did confirm that he would not be called up.

He said: “I went to the military registration and enlistment office in the morning, they checked my documents and released me. No one calls me, just checking documents and that's it."

Vu Hoang Anh Nguyen, 24, a Vietnamese citizen living in Russia, was called up because Russian officials believed she was male.

She said: "My gender was not obvious to them."

Under Russian rules, the only females called to the war are likely to be medics - but this didn’t stop Putin’s blundering enlistment officials.

While Mikhail Timoshenko, 40, who was wounded a decade ago in Putin’s forces, was told to report for war training despite needing a wheelchair.

He said: "They brought me a summons, accompanied by a police officer.

“Will they take me to the army in a wheelchair? It's just ridiculous, I have a disability.

"How can this even happen? People just print summons and take them to everyone."

Recent pictures showed cops in St Petersburg and Moscow rounding up young men on the streets and they even grounded a flight to haul off the co-pilot.

The gun-toting recruiters reportedly cruise offices seeking men for Putin's hated mobilisation for the bloody war in Ukraine.

Reservists - which includes anyone who has completed compulsory military service - are liable for mobilisation to the lower ranks up to the age of 35.

Junior officers can be called up to the age of 50 and senior officers up to 55.

Reports suggest those who have been forced onto the frontline are refusing to take orders while drinking and fighting among themselves.

Others complained after being handed rusting soviet-era weapons while some went hungry and slept on hard floors because of a shortage of beds, food and uniforms.
