I was groped by teen wearing an ankle tag at bus stop… I showed cops pictures but they said there wasn’t enough evidence
A WOMAN groped by a perv teen was furious afte ignored her case despite her taking PHOTOS of him.
The victim, 25, said she felt "isolated and alone" at the response, having assumed Daniel Oakes, 19, who was wearing an ankle tag, easily traceable.
She also said a security guard at Derby bus station threatened to remove her when she reported the assault, telling her to "stop being childish" and get on her bus.
Derbyshire Police only issued an appeal after she passed on photos to a local journalist. Oakes was then arrested within days.
He pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was jailed for 26 weeks at Chesterfield magistrates' court.
The victim said: "I felt he would have been easily traceable with the tag on his ankle.

"I'm happy he's now been convicted, but it shouldn't have taken third-party intervention to have got to this point.
"I experienced a significant lack of help and support from not only the police, but the security staff at the bus station, who dealt with the matter very poorly.
"I was treated like the crazy one. I needed help and none was given."
She said Oakes approached her in daylight when she was on bench waiting for her bus and assaulted her within seconds.

She reported the incident to security but went back to confront the assailant when she got an unhelpful response.
The pair then ended up scuffling, which is when security threatened to remove her for being aggressive.
Derbyshire Police initially claimed they conducted a "full and proportionate" investigation but were unable to identify an offender.
The force shelved the case as a result. But later said it needed a sergeant to review the incident if the pictures of Oakes were good enough for an ID to be made.

A spokesman added: "We are sorry that the service this victim received did not meet the level that she, or we, would expect."
Derby City Council, which runs the bus station, added it is aware of the incident.
