He also called his Democratic rival a “nasty woman” while she was spoke about social security issues.

The firebrand billionaire also branded Clinton a “puppet” when she said that he would rather have a puppet in the White House.

While discussing his controversial Mexican border wall policy, Trump spoke about stopping the influx of "bad, bad people."

He said: "We're going to secure the border, and once the border is secured at a later date, we'll make a determination as to the rest.

"But we have some bad hombres here and we're going to get them out.

"Right now, we're getting the drugs, they're getting the cash."

The property tycoon's incredible statements have generated an endless streams of memes on Twitter.

Following the bad tempered debate - which polls say Clinton won - many Twitter users chose to laugh rather to cry.

One humorous poster wrote: "'Bad hombres and Nasty #Women could be the title of a mediocre erotic novel."

Another said: "America: now with 550% more bad hombres."

While one added: "Yeah he did say BAD HAMBRES and not BAD HOMBRES. We are still cracking up. #BadHombres"
