Photo firm unveils mobile phone fitted with 'industry leading' camera
Kodak was the most famous photographic firm in the world until it foundered during the digital revolution.
Now the much-loved brand is back with a new gadget which deliberately recalls the good old days of analogue photography.
Kodak is set to launch a new smartphone aimed at photography enthusiasts that has two "industry leading" cameras built into it.
The Kodak Ektra, named after one of the US firm's models from the 1940s, will house a 21-megapixel rear camera as well as a 13-megapixel front facing camera.
In comparison, the rear lens on Apple's iPhone 7, which launched last month, is 12-megapixels.
Kodak said the Ektra, which will go on-sale in the UK in December for £449, has software that enables users to manually adjust camera settings based on the scene they are capturing, using an on-screen dial similar to that found on a single-lens reflex (SLR) camera.
Users will also be able to manually adjust settings including exposure, white balance and shutter speed.

A range of editing software for images and video will also come pre-installed on the device.

"The original Kodak Ektra Camera was launched in 1941 and in its latest reincarnation, opens up a world of creative opportunities to all who care about photography."
The new phone will run on Google's Android platform and will also come complete a dedicated shutter button to mimic the layout of a physical camera.
