Following the 90 minute debate, a poll of debate watchers found Clinton beat Trump by a 13-point margin, 52-39.

Though this is narrower than her previous two wins - it is still significant.

Overall, 52 per cent who watched thought Clinton did the best job, to the 39 per cent that thought Trump did, which is again a tighter margin than the last.

Most said their minds weren't changed by tonight's debate, 54 per cent of those who watched said it would have no effect on their vote.

Abortion, gun rights, the Supreme Courts, Wikileaks emails and sexual misconduct accusations made against Trump were all covered.

Trump through a number of punches - when Clinton was speaking about social security issues he interrupted and called her 'such a nasty horrid woman'.

"You're the one that's unfit," he said to Clinton. "WikiLeaks just came out. John Podesta said some horrible things about you. Bernie Sanders, he said you have bad judgement. You do."

The majority of the TV debate was simply a war of words with Trump even bringing in Barack Obama's estranged half-brother Malik as a guest.

The billionaire also refused to say whether he would accept the result of the election if he did not win.

This follows continuous claims by Trump that the election has been rigged against him.

In response Clinton hit back at Trump and said it was 'horrifying'.

She added: Every time Donald thinks things aren't going in his direction whatever it is, is rigged against him.
