Trump says he hasn’t apologised to wife Melania over sexual assault allegations claiming they’ve been ‘debunked’

DONALD Trump claimed allegations of sexual assault by nine women had been "debunked" at the Las Vegas TV showdown with Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night.

When asked about the numerous stories he had behaved inappropriately he insisted he never touched any women without their consent.

'Those stories have been largely debunked,' the Republican nominee then went on to say he hadn't even apologised to wife Melania about it.

He exclaimed: "I didn't even apologise to my wife, who is sitting right here, because I didn't do anything!"

Melania went on record in an interview on Monday saying she believed her husband.

He then put the blame at the women's door, and Clinton saying: "I think they either want fame, or her campaign did it."

And of the latest allegation, he said: "I think it was her campaign that did it."

However Clinton was quick to answer: "Donald thinks belittling women makes him bigger. He goes after their dignity, their self-worth.

 Clinton responded Trump had said the women were "not attractive enough."

Trump retorted interrupting: "I did not say that!"

The billionaire insisted: "Nobody has more respect for women than I do.

"These stories have been largely debunked ... [and were] probably or possibly started by her and her very sleazy campaign."

It was a war of words for most of the TV debate - Trump brought in a cast of guests, including Barack Obama's estranged half-brother Malik.

The billionaire did not make himself popular when he refused to say he wouldn't accept the result of the election, if he wasn't to win and told Fox News Chris Wallace: "I'll keep you in suspense."

This came on the back of his continuous claims it was rigged against him.

Clinton hit out at Trump's response saying: "That's horrifying . Every time Donald thinks things aren't going in his direction whatever it is, is rigged against him."
