Now, following the frightening incident in Havant, Hants, Garner, 45, has been charged and will appear in court next month.

The little girl was said to be in good spirits at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, Hants, after an operation.

“She’s still got a smile on her face,” the neighbour added.
