KIM’S DEADLY ARSENAL

North Korea will be ‘mega nuclear power by 2020 with 80 NUKES capable of turning US into radioactive wasteland’

Kim Jong-Un's regime has repeatedly threatened the west with armageddon

NORTH Korea could build up to 79 nuclear devices capable of turning the US into a radiation-blasted hellhole by the end of 2020, an expert has warned.

Lee Sang-hyun, vice president of South Korea's Sejong Institute, claims tubby tyrant Kim Jong-un's regime could build four to eight miniaturised nuclear weapons every year.

Pyongyang currently has a maximum of 50 kilograms of plutonium and 300 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, according to his report.

World leaders have slammed North Korea's fridge-raiding despot Kim Jong-un and branded his behaviour an act of "maniacal recklessness".

North Korea conducted its fourth nuclear test in January and fifth in September in defiance of furious international reaction and stiff sanctions, reports .

Last month's detonation was "twice of the size of Hiroshima" and the tyrannical Stalinist nation announced they could produce more warheads “any time we desire”.

It also test-fired more than 20 ballistic missiles, including the mid-range Musudan missile, which theoretically is capable of flying as far as the US territory of Guam.

Pyongyang is thought to be working on a nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missile that can hit the American mainland.

In September, the country conducted a ground test for a new high-powered rocket engine, sparking speculation that it is moving closer to its terrifying goal.

Lee said North Korea is not likely to change its behavior in the near term.

"Along with sanctions and pressure, there is the need to consider pursuing strategic persuasion and offering incentives in dealing with the North," he said.

Park Ihn-hwi, a professor at Ewha Womans University, said that North Korea may suspend nuclear tests after it conducts one or two more, without elaborating.

"There is a need to prepare for North Korea's possible peace offensive," he added.

Munhwa claim,s it has seen a leaked North Korean report that states"More than 75% of artillery and war-fighting instruments deployed after a combat readiness inspection by the Korean People’s Army (KPA) General Staff, was harshly criticised for getting rusty and being stained."
“In general, it is believed that the KPA (Korean People's Army) suffers from shortcomings of supplies and logistics, so the claim has some plausibility,” Joshua Pollack, the editor of the Nonproliferation Review, told NK News.
"On the other hand, artillery seems to be the part of the ground forces that has received the greatest attention in modernisation programs. It is highly visible in publicised exercises."
