Donald Trump’s wife Melania defends him from sex allegations – and says women target HIM instead

The Slovenian model insisted that girls brazenly come up to the Republican US presidential and hand him phone numbers

MELANIA Trump has spoken out to defend her husband against the growing chorus of sex allegations – insisting that women targeted HIM instead.

The Slovenian model, 46, insisted that girls brazenly come up to the Republican US presidential candidate in front of her and handed him their phone numbers.

At least 11 women have come forward to allege historic cases of inappropriate sexual behaviour towards them by the 70-year-old billionaire – now running for the White House.

But Melania blamed the allegations on the “opposition” and the media.

She said: “It wasn't sexual assault. He didn’t say he did it. I see many women come to him and give him phone numbers and inappropriate stuff from women.

“They know he’s married. It was in front of me and I say: ‘Why you need to give your number to my husband?’

“I believe my husband. This was all organised from the opposition. And with the details that they got – did they ever check the background of these women? They don’t have any facts.”

Melania, giving a series of interviews to back her husband, also claimed that he had been “egged on” to say that women let him “grab them by the p****” because he was a star.

The leaked “hot mic” recording of Trump’s lewd comments, from a 2005 conversation with TV host Billy Bush, sparked the deluge of sex complaints against him.

But brushing the lewd remarks off as “boys talk”, his wife – who he was married to when he made the remarks - claimed: “I said to my husband that you know the language was inappropriate.

“It's not acceptable and I was surprised, because that is not the man that I know. And as you can see from the tape, the cameras were not on. It was only a mic.

“And he was led on. Like egg (sic) on from the host to say dirty and bad stuff. I wonder if they even knew that the mic was on because they were kind of…boy talk.”

“Sometimes I say I have two boys at home. I have my young son and I have my husband.”

Defiant Melania also insisted she could withstand the slurs on her husband’s character, adding: “Don't feel sorry for me. I can handle everything.”

Melania angrily denounced a People magazine writer who said that Trump had stuck his tongue down her throat before an interview in 2005.

Natasha Stoynoff told how she had met and spoken with Melania again after the event – a claim which the socialite denies.

She has now demanded a retraction from the magazine.

And the glamorous beauty, who has son Barron, aged ten, with Trump, also said attacks on rivals the Clintons were “fair game” – as they had targeted them.

Trump wheeled out three women who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct before the second US presidential debate last week.

The third and final debate takes place in the early hours of tomorrow.

Appearing to reference racy photo-shoots from her past, Melania added: “Well, if they bring up my past, why not? They're asking for it.”

President Barack Obama yesterday told Trump to stop “whining” – after his continual claims that the US election was being rigged.

Obama said: “If you start whining before the game is even over, if whenever things are going badly for you and you lose, you start blaming somebody else.”
