Schoolboy, 15, rushed to hospital after stabbing on quiet street in Torquay, as lad, 16, arrested

A SCHOOLBOY has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed.
The victim, 15, suffered one stab wound on a quiet residential street and another boy, 16, has been arrested.
The extent of his injuries are unknown after he was attacked in Torquay, Devon, this evening.
The suspect has been held in custody.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information about this evening's incident to come forward.
"We would also like people to check CCTV or dashcam footage if they were in the area at the time."

Earlier this week neighbours told of their horror at hearing screams when a schoolboy, 14, was stabbed to death in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
Another resident added: "I am fearful for my son."
A lad, 14, was arrested on suspicion of murder after Monday's attack and a girl, 14, was held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
And last month Khayri McLean, 15, was pinned down and stabbed to death outside a school as parents collected their kids.

Two boys, 15 and 16, were charged with murdering him in Huddersfield, Yorkshire.
Khayri's girlfriend Shyana James, 16, said her heart shattered when she heard he had died.
She called him a "really nice boy", adding: “I can’t think of any reason why someone would do this to him.”
She dated him for six months but knew him for five years and said: "I met him through school. He liked playing football for school.
"I was in college and my friend was on a bus coming home and she told me, she phoned me and told me Khayri had been stabbed,” she said.
"My heart just shattered. I phoned a taxi from town and came up, but it was taped up and I couldn’t do anything.
"I saw Khayri on the pavement with the paramedics working on him and then when the air ambulance took him to Leeds General Infirmary my mum drove me there.

"I have no idea why he has been stabbed. I can’t think of any reason why someone would do this to him."
Her mum Sherrin, 35, said the pair were "literally inseparable", adding: "He was her first proper boyfriend. She absolutely adored him and he absolutely adored her."
