Prince Andrew branded a ‘spoilt narcissist’ by royal experts in new documentary which explores friendship with Epstein

PRINCE Andrew is called a spoilt narcissist by royal experts in a documentary exploring his friendship with paedo Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York was also labelled an idiot, a spoiled brat, and the "runt of a litter" who "couldn't keep trousers closed".

Prince Andrew: Banished, aired last night on US channel Peacock, and explored how he "brought scandal and disgrace" upon the Royal Family.

Former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter says: "The problem is, the man’s an idiot.

"There’s always one runt of the litter, and Andrew was it."

Royal author Phil Dampier adds: "He's never smoked or taken drugs or drunk alcohol but his big thing is sex."

Journalist Helen Kirwan-Taylor also says: "Prince Andrew thought he was more than a royal. He thought he was a celebrity.

"The talk of the dinner parties was he couldn't keep his trousers closed."

Journalist Annette Witheridge said: "This entire sorry saga boils down to sex and greed."

She also said the scandal was a "lifetime in the making".

The documentary's synopsis says Prince Andrew's "antics throughout his career as a Royal brought scandal and disgrace to the 1200-year legacy of the British Royal Family". 

It adds: "Through new interviews with palace insiders, journalists, members of Andrew’s social circle, and the legal team that brought the allegations to light, the documentary takes a deep dive into the world of privilege, jealousy, desire, and greed that pushed Andrew.

"First, into the orbit of notorious sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and then into a sordid sex trafficking scandal that threatens to bring down the House of Windsor.' "

Prince Andrew settled with sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre in February, sparing him a humiliating court battle.

It was estimated to be up to £12million.

The disgraced Duke was on a collision course with the sex trafficking victim over claims he raped and abused her when she was 17.

The Prince has always denied all allegations related to the case.

Experts have said he will be relegated to "dogwalker in chief" under King Charles and faces being frozen out of royal life.

A spokeswoman for Prince Andrew declined to comment.
