Gay ‘serial killer’ filmed himself and another man ‘drug raping unconscious man on New Year’s Eve’
Alleged victim tells court how he was unaware of attacks until footage from Stephen Port's mobile phone emerged
A GAY 'serial killer' filmed himself and another man raping a ‘knocked out’ victim at a drug-fuelled New Year's Eve party, a court heard.
The 24-year-old complainant, who cannot be identified, told the Old Bailey he met accused Stephen Port, 41, on gay dating app Manhunt in 2010.
Jurors heard how he made regular visits to the bus garage cook's one-bedroom flat in Barking, east London.
He said Port was never aggressive in any way and they would have consensual sex after snorting white powder, which he was told was a legal high.
But following Port's arrest for the murder of Anthony Walgate, 23, Gabriel Kovari, 22, Daniel Whitworth, 21, and Jack Taylor, 25, last October, police recovered 83 home videos of Port having sex with various young men from his mobile phone.
The 18 minutes of footage was so disturbing, the judge Mr Justice Openshaw, today reassured jurors, saying: “As I entirely understand, Friday afternoon was upsetting.

“It is not intended that any other such videos will be played and it is not presently intended you will be played that video again.”
The alleged victim today told how he recognised himself in stills from the videos by the tattoos and distinguishing marks on his body.
One six-minute clip, recorded on New Year's Eve 2014, shows bald Port - who jurors previously heard wore a blonde wig to increase his confidence around men - in his bedroom with his alleged victim and another man.
As well as having sex with him himself, Port also convinces his initially reluctant pal to have sex with the apparently unconscious man.
A fourth man can be heard to say: “I'll leave you guys to carry on, I have got work in the morning,” before leaving the room.
Port is heard to say: “Shall we do more stuff?” His friend replies: “Yeah babe.”
The alleged victim explained how he had been staying in Port's flat, where they snorted a white powder from pills crushed up by Port.
The court heard Port's parents even popped round during the period of his stay.
The alleged victim said he did have sex with Port, but had no idea the other man had had sex with him until he saw the clip.
“I was knocked out, or not aware I fell asleep,” he said.
Prosecutor Jonathan Rees QC asked: “Did you ever agree to Stephen having sex with you when you were unconscious.” “No,” he replied.
Mr Rees continued: “Was there any ever any discussion.” The witness said: “I don't think so.” He told jurors Port had once told him he had taken party drug GHB before he fell asleep for 24 hours.
Port's alleged victim also explained how he was injected with drugs a number of times.
Asked what he thought the substance was, he answered: “The same stuff we were taking previously.” Port also injected him with a substance up the backside, the court heard.
“I believe it was a syringe you give children medicine with,” said the alleged victim.
The alleged rape victim later said he agreed Port could have sex with him after he fell asleep.
David Etherington QC, defending, suggested the question of Port continuing to have sex with him once he had fallen asleep.
The barrister asked: 'You said just carry on, did you not?' The complainant replied: 'Yeah.' He also admitted he knew Port had filmed their sexual encounters and sent him a selection of clips.
The court heard that after Port asked him how he felt about one clip, he replied: 'Weirdly good.' Mr Etherington said: 'I'm going to suggest you enjoyed these videos he made and him sending them to you.' The complainant said the suggestion was 'unfair', but said he could not explain why.
Port is said to have committed a string of sex offences against 12 men over three-and-a-half years, between 2012 and 2015.
Four died of an overdose of the party drug GHB and were found dumped in and around a graveyard in Barking, east London between June 2014 and September 2015.
It is claimed Port allegedly murdered Anthony Walgate, 23, in June 2014 and was jailed in March 2015 for perverting the course of justice after lying to the police about the death.
But by the time he was convicted he had gone on to kill two other men, it is claimed.
Slovakian Gabriel Kovari, 22, and 21-year-old chef Daniel Whitworth, from Gravesend, in Kent, were allegedly murdered within weeks of each other in August and September 2014.
Both, like Mr Walgate, had died of GHB poisoning and were found in an almost identical position in St Margaret's churchyard, in Abbey Green.
Port is said to have killed again just three months after being released from prison, in September 2015, when forklift truck driver Jack Taylor, 25, was found near the same churchyard.
Port, formerly of Barking, east London, denies all charges.
The trial continues.
