JESSE Anderson was a convicted criminal who was murdered along with serial killer Jeffery Dahmer in prison in 1994.

At the time, he was serving a life term in prison for the murder of his wife Barbara Anderson.

Who is Jesse Anderson?

Jesse Anderson was born in May 1957 and was raised in Alton, Illinois.

He attended Alton High School and graduated in 1975, before later earning a degree in Business Administration from Elmhurst College

In 1980, he married his first wife Debra Ann Eickert, before the couple divorced in 1984.

A year later he tied the knot with Barbara.

The couple shared three children and lived in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

On April 12, 1992, the Andersons went for a movie and dinner at a T.G.I Friday in Milwaukee.

After dinner, Jesse viciously stabbed Barbara five times in the face and head, before stabbing himself four times in the chest.

Barbara went into a coma and tragically died from her injuries two days later.

Despite initially blaming the attack on two black men, Anderson was charged and later found guilty of murder.

He was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 60 years.  

What happened to Jesse Anderson?

On November 28, 1994, while imprisoned at Colombia Correccrtional Institute, Anderson and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer were left unattended with fellow inmate Christopher Scarver.

While cleaning the prison gymnasium toilet, Scarver removed a 20-inch metal bar from the weight room and brutally hit Dahmer twice around the head.

He then beat Anderson with the same weapon - who was working in a separate room.

Dahmer was declared dead an hour after arriving at the hospital and Anderson died two days later, after doctors removed him from life support. 

In a 2015 interview with the , Scarver revealed why he also killed Anderson alongside “disgusting” Dahmer.

In one allegation, he claimed that Anderson defaced a painting of Martin Luther King in prison.

Scarver said in an interview: “There was a picture in the arts and crafts room that a prisoner had spent a lot of time painting, and he hung it up in that room to dry.

“[Anderson] painted a blood dot on [MLK’s] forehead as if it were a bullet wound.”

He also referred to Anderson’s initial attempts to frame two black men for his wife’s murder.
