What is the Queen’s coffin procession route?
THE QUEEN's coffin arrived at Buckingham Palace on the night of Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from Edinburgh, Scotland.
On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, it will make its way through a procession to Westminster Hall where the Queen will lay in state before her funeral on Monday, September 19.
What is the route of the Queen's coffin procession?
The Queen's coffin procession will take 38 minutes.
The procession is set to take the following route:
- Leave from Buckingham Palace
- The Mall
- Horse Guards Road
- Horse Guards Parade
- Whitehall
- Parliament Square
- Ends at the Palace of Westminster
Viewing areas will be set up along the route so that the public can also pay its respect to Her Majesty.

You can find a place in the viewing areas from 11am on Wednesday but there will be limited capacity.
Guidance warned: "Please do not wait or camp in advance of the processional day.
"If you camp before this time you may be asked to move on."
There will also be a screening site at Hyde Park showing the ceremonial procession on large screens.

It is recommended that people enter from the north side of Hyde Park, from Marlborough Gate to Marble Arch.
