MILITANT MASS SHOOTING

ISIS savages carry out bloody massacre close to Egypt tourist resort popular with Brit families

The mass shooting was carried out in Sinai where a Russian airliner exploded in a bomb attack last year

SICK ISIS militants have gunned down 12 people in a brutal mass shooting at an army checkpoint in Egypt – near beach resorts popular with Brit tourists.

The brainwashed savages carried out the horrific assault at a military base in al-Arish in northern Sinai – leaving a further six injured.

The half-dozen wounded in the military massacre were rushed to an army hospital nearby.

The warped terror fanatics reportedly used high-powered assault rifles and other heavier weaponry to carry out the attack.

Last year a Russian airliner was blown up by depraved terrorists as it flew over Sinai – an attack which decimated the Egyptian tourist industry.

The attack comes a day after the Chief Executive of Monarch Airlines, Andrew Swaffield, called for UK jets to resume flying between Britain and Sharm el-Sheikh – the airport in which the doomed Russian flight departed from.

All UK flights have been banned from flying to the troubled Egyptian peninsula since last year’s plane attack.

Last month, it was reported that the majority of the 224 Russian passengers and crew on the tragic flight died in mid-air from “severe barotrauma” after the tail of the A321 airbus was blown off.

Bomb placed among prams detonated after 22 minutes, downing the Russian jet

An explosion in the oversized baggage compartment led to the loss of the planer over the Sinai peninsula, according to an international commission into the crash, reports Moscow newspaper Kommersant.

A small bomb was hidden among children’s pushchairs and cane chairs, bought by tourists as souvenirs, which detonated 22 minutes after takeoff blowing off the tail off the Kogalymavia aircraft leading to an “uncontrolled dive”.

Most passengers on the flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg “died in the air from severe barotrauma” — rapidly changing air pressure after decompression.
