The bolt blasted through the 33-year-old blacksmith’s living room window and hit him as played on his PS5

He felt an excruciating burn on his arm and reckons he may have been knocked unconscious for a few seconds after the one-in-a-million frazzling.

Aidan, 33, was struck around 10.30pm last Monday while playing PS5 game Stray, in which gamers play as a cat.

He was taken to hospital by 32-year-old husband Aaron’s parents – and spent nearly seven hours there before being discharged.

Aidan, of Abingdon, Oxon, has been left with around 60 burn marks down his arm, a “starburst-like” mark near his palm, muscle damage and a burn on his foot.

Aidan, who is a blacksmith, said the doctors at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital felt “the marks are consistent with a lightning strike”.
