THIS is the shocking moment an Evri delivery driver is caught on camera pelting an innocent cat with rocks, leaving its owners furious.
The disturbing footage, captured by a smart doorbell, shows the delivery man walk towards a home before taking a swipe at the cat with a letter.
He then takes a swing at the frightened animal with his hand - before launching a rock at it from the front garden.
Horrified owner Lisa Ferraby, 37, was alerted by her husband, Andrew, that the doorbell had notified him of a visitor while the couple were both at work.
Lisa was stunned when she logged into the app to see the brute attacking her beloved cat Tumble.
According to Lisa, she "didn't know whether to vomit or cry" when she was the awful video.
She said: "I was absolutely fuming, I just wanted to leave work, but I couldn't leave.
"It is distressing to see that kind of thing to your own pet, and it is completely unprovoked."
Thankfully Tumble was not injured but was "shaken and cowering in a corner" when Lisa and Andrew returned to their home in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
"He didn't eat that night which is not like him, he just seemed a little bit off which is understandable really," said Lisa.
She did, however, praise Evri for their quick response after posting the video on social media and sending it to someone she knew at the local depot.
The driver was apparently sacked the next day.
Lisa added: "I don't want people to slam Evri.
"In terms of delivery , but in terms of how they dealt with our situation, they dealt with it quickly and they were really good about it."
A spokesperson for Evri said: "We have apologised to Mrs Ferraby and provided a gesture of goodwill.
"This was highly unacceptable behaviour and we can confirm the courier will no longer deliver on behalf of Evri."
Evri was previously known as Hermes but rebranded earlier this year after the company came last in a delivery firm league table produced by Citizens Advice.
