Mum is disgusted after unwrapping frozen pasta bake from Iceland and discovering it covered in MOULD

Horrified Katie Foster saw it covered in black spots as she went to put meal in the microwave

A MUM went to cook a  frozen bolognese pasta bake from Iceland but was horrified to discover it was covered in MOULD.

Mum-of-three Katie Foster was going to serve up the £1 ready meal for herself but managed to find the black spots before she slammed it in the microwave.

Katie, 28, said: "I grabbed up a couple of microwave meals.
"I thought it was burnt at first but then realised it was mould.

"The mould was all around the sides and underneath.

"It's a good job I didn't eat it."

She had bought the dish from the Iceland store in Rhyl, North Wales.

She said: "My husband told me not to eat it so I took a few photographs and got in touch with Iceland on Facebook.

Katie said Iceland were "very apologetic" and said they would send her a £20 voucher as a gesture of goodwill.

"When I got in touch with them they admitted it wasn't up to their standards.

A spokeswoman for Iceland said they take all complaints "extremely seriously".

She said: "We can confirm that Ms Foster has been in touch with our customer care department and has provided us with the pack information and images which we have sent to the product supplier to investigate.”

Just last week The Sun Online told how mum Michelle Brooks was horrified after her five-month-old baby Mia was hospitalised after eating mouldy baby food.
