Hilarious memes poke fun at Tesco row with Unilever which has seen hundreds of products stripped from our shelves
Marmite-lovers have taken to Twitter to share their hilarious reactions after warnings that the spread would soon be in short supply
THE threat of Marmite being in short-supply has sent people into a panic - and straight onto Twitter.
The spread is just one of the products under threat on supermarket shelves after the billion-pound company Unilever demanded Tesco pay 10 per cent more due to Brexit.
The household favourite has now become the butt of online memes, with many shoppers quick to see the funny side of products including Marmite, Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Lynx becoming harder to get.
Dozens of products are already unavailable online while the companies continue their stand off over who should wear the cost of the weakening pound.
#Marmitegate and #Tesco began to trend on Twitter as users poked fun at the stand off.
