The 40-year-old grabbed her by the hair and shoved her against a wall with his hand around her throat.

Forrest also snapped a windscreen wiper after forcing the woman against the rear of a car.

The hulking thug was secretly caught on a dog-watching camera at their home in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, lunging at the petite victim.

He yelled "I don't care if I go to jail, you are going to die in my hands you wee cow" as he throttled her.

The woman could be seen desperately trying to push Forrest away as she struggled to breathe.

Forrest has now been jailed for 27 months after he admitted abusing his partner between July 2017 and August 2020.

He was also handed a ten-year non-harassment order and placed on a one year supervision order.

Sheriff Linda Nicolson said: "The violence was outrageous and was an attack to the danger of life. The level of violence was appalling.

"The harm caused to your victim was significant. The severity must be reflected by the court."

The court was told how controlling Forrest would trawl the woman's social media and accuse her of cheating while they were together.

They broke up in 2017 but kept in contact over the home where the attacks took place.

Further footage showed how Forrest would regularly erupt into violence - shoving the woman into the room and pushing her to the ground.

During the final attack, she desperately mouthed "I can't breathe" as the thug restricted her airways.

Depute fiscal Paul Jamieson said: "At this point she was scared she was going to die and the accused placed his head against her head and said 'look at me, this is how serious I am'.

"She felt she was going to pass out after 15 or 20 seconds and the accused suddenly let go and walked away."
