Schoolboy, 12, stabbed in the street and rushed to hospital as suspect held by cops
A SCHOOLBOY was stabbed in an East London street last night, cops have said.
A 12-year-old has become the latest victim of knife crime in the capital after a stabbing at Brooks Road in Plaistow.
The boy was rushed to hospital with stab wounds on Tuesday evening.
Metropolitan Police raced to the scene at 8.17pm following reports of a stabbing.
Emergency services treated his stab wounds on site before transferring him to hospital.
The Met confirmed to The Sun Online on Wednesday morning that the boy's injuries "are not life threatening".

Enquiries are ongoing however arrests have been made.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and another for affray.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 20:17hrs on Tuesday, 30 August to Brooks Road, E13 following reports of a stabbing.
"A boy, believed to be aged 12, was found with a stab injury. He was treated at the scene; we await an assessment of his condition.
