A ONE-year old boy nearly had his hand taken off when he put it in a MEAT MINCER.

Grim footage filmed in Turkey shows the lad being rushed to hospital with his hand still trapped in the dangerous machine.

Mumin Emin, whose family fled from Syria to Turkey, stuck his paw in the mincer while his mum was distracted cooking dinner.

There were fears he could lose his hand as he arrived at Mehmet Akif Inan Hospital covered in blood.

The amazingly calm youngster sat still as doctors rushed to release his hand.

But he was so wedged in that firefighters had to be called in to cut the boy free with specialist equipment.

They spend half an hour carefully hacking away at the mincer while his family waited nervously outside.

Mumin was eventually freed and doctors were relieved to find he had only suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Ahmet Emin, Mumin's father, was given the remains of the mincing machine which he immediately threw in the bin.

Police are investigating the incident.
