Family of Liverpool shooting victim Ashley Dale scared to leave home in wake of Olivia Pratt Korbel’s murder

THE aunt of shooting victim Ashley Dale said she is scared to leave her home in the wake of Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s murder.

Council worker Ashley, 28, was murdered on Sunday after a gunman burst into her home.

Just 24 hours after her killing in the Old Swan area of Liverpool, Olivia, nine, was shot dead in nearby Knotty Ash.

While there is no clear link between the incidents, Merseyside Police have said they are keeping an open mind.

The shootings have terrified Ashley’s relatives.

Her aunt, Lynsey Dale of Toxteth, said: “I am genuinely scared.

"My anxiety has kicked in, I don’t even want to go out the door.

“I’ve got my own daughter of 14 and I’m scared to let her go anywhere.”

She added: “If she does go out I said to her I need to know exactly where you are, even if it’s two minutes down the road.

“I’m scared to open the door to anyone and there’s no chance I’m opening it at night.”
