He reckons the luxury 4ins result for sale at an annual pork pie festival is “fit for royalty” — but there are only two up for grabs.

“We wanted to make sure we pushed the boat out this year and create something extra-special for the its return.”

Outlining the pie’s creation, Phil adds: “I spoke to Russ, a trusted truffle dealer, who was able to arrange some of the very best Italian black summer truffles.

“They are packed with tons of earthy flavour which will complement the sweet pork.

"I also managed to get my hands on some of the finest beluga caviar to put on the top of the pie.

“That will add a subtle salty and savoury element and result in a rich and opulent pork pie fit for royalty.”

Other pork pie flavours at the festival, which ends on Sunday, include chorizo and black pudding.
