Chilling moment ‘killer clown’ appeared in window of mum’s home as her daughter was sleeping
A MUM who saw a menacing clown looking through the window into her home has told how she feared for her family's safety.
Sarah Lammie, from West Lothian, Scotland, was going upstairs in the dark after putting her baby daughter Esme to bed last Friday.
She heard a tapping and turned to see a terrifying clown peering through the window next to her front door.
The 31-year-old nail technician was petrified but managed to take a picture, before the flash on her phone scared the culprit away.
The mask was white with red clown hair and a creepy wide smile.
Sarah said: "My partner Andrew had popped out and I was getting ready to go to bed.I had closed the blinds, and went upstairs with the torch on my phone to guide me.
"But then I heard a tap on the door, thinking it was a neighbour, I rushed downstairs.
"What I saw nearly made me fall down face first. I was petrified.
"Thankfully my daughter was sleeping upstairs, if I’d been carrying her I could have dropped her - and if she’d come face to face with that monster she could have been traumatised.
"I’ve never been scared of clowns before, but this really freaked me out."
When her partner, Andrew Law, a plumber, came home he drove around looking for the man but could not find anything.
She added: "I have a 92-year-old next door neighbour.
"These people are adults, and they could have given her a heart attack. It's not funny at all, it's terrifying."
