McDonald’s accused of SHRINKING its burgers as customer posts photo of ‘tiny’ Filet-O-Fish
MCDONALD'S customers have accused the fast food giant of shrinking its infamous burgers.
Disappointed diners claimed they were being cheated out of a chunk of their Filet-O-Fish meal, suggesting it had drastically reduced in size.
One furious Aussie suspected they had changed the usual proportions of the fried treat in favour of a "tiny" replacement.
But McDonald's insisted the popular item has not shrunk, leaving confused customers second-guessing their measurements.
One customer at a branch in New South Wales shared a snap of the Filet-O-Fish next to a McChicken sandwich and a burly beef burger.
She shared the image on Facebook in hopes of other Maccie's fans weighing in on the size debate.

The caption read: "Have McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish always been this small? I don’t remember it being mini, kid-sized like this."
The noticeable difference in bulkiness saw social media users speculate the fast food chain had become stingy with their portions.
One commented: "One said: “We had Big Macs last week.
"Not only have the buns shrunk but the meat patties were so thin we could see literally through them. Was as if they had sliced them in half."

Another said: "Just like the Quarter Pounder got its name as it was a quarter pound of beef, it’s barely that now."
A third added: "All Macca's food is now super-small size."
And a fourth chimed in: "Inflated price... deflated goods."
But others were quick to leap to McDonald's defence, suggesting the Filet-O-Fish is the same size it's always been.
One said: "Been like that for as long as I can remember. Only [with a] steamed bun."
A second wrote: "It's the same size bun as the Cheeseburger. It's always been small."
However, McDonald's maintained they are still serving a big fish on their usual bun, assuring diners they aren't being swindled.
A spokesperson for the restaurant said of the controversy: "There have been no changes to the size of our burgers.
"We are committed to offering our customers great quality, great value burgers featuring 100 per cent RSPCA approved chicken and 100 per cent Aussie beef."
Fans recently took swipe at the chain for adding a new menu item that was seriously "lacking flavour".
McDonald's released four new items at the start of August including halloumi fries and a burger called the The Spicy Spanish Stack.

But the £5.39 snack left a bad taste in many people's mouths, with customers ripping into the burger for being "bland" and "vile".
Taking to Twitter, one crestfallen customer said: "Spanish stack is the worst burger from McDonald’s in years, dry, bland, no spice and has nothing to do with Spain."
