Millie's dad Jamie Crouch told his daughter was "an individual with a heart of gold".

He added: "She was a compassionate and loving child.

"She was very popular and leaves a huge vacuum in our lives and many others, as does her brother."

Paying tribute to sixth form student Jackson, Mr Crouch's partner Sallie Grant's son from a previous relationship, he said: "I've known Jackson since he was three-years-old. He was a great kid.

"Sallie and I are devastated. We have nothing now. Everything we have worked for is gone."

The van driver, a 45-year-old man from Southampton, was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with relatively minor injuries.

Wiltshire Police closed the road for six hours in both directions while investigators examined the crash site.

A spokesman said: "The cause of the crash is still under investigation. There have been no arrests made."

On social media family friends have been paying tribute to Millie and Jackson.

Julie Ersoz said: "My very good friend lost his daughter yesterday in a car accident.

"May their souls rest in peace - sending love and hugs to you."
