His partner Natasha Massey was not at Cardiff Crown Court on day five of his trial

Evans, 27, told the jury: "She was making noises like that she was enjoying herself. She was making sex noises.

"I stopped performing oral sex on her and we started having sex.

"It was a natural progression from oral sex - it just happened.

"She was on her back and I was having sex over her."

Evans was asked by his barrister Judith Khan QC what happened next.

He said: ";She turned herself over and got on all fours. She took the lead all by herself."

Cardiff Crown Court has heard how the 19-year-old girl was taken to the Premier Inn hotel in Rhuddlan, North Wales, by his friend Clayton McDonald.

Former Port Vale player Mr McDonald met her in a kebab shop - then rang Evans from a taxi to say: "I've got a girl."

The court heard Evans and Mr McDonald both had sex with the girl. She has told the court she had no memory after believing her drink was spiked on a night out in May 2011.

The court heard she was too drunk to give consent for sex.

Evans told how he stopped having sex with the girl when Mr McDonald left - then left through a fire escape.

Asked why he left, Evans said: "When Clay left the room I stopped having sex. The situation I was in it became real that I was cheating on my girlfriend.";

Asked if he had considered his girlfriend Natasha Massey beforehand, Evans said: "No I was caught up in the moment."

Miss Massey was not at Cardiff Crown Court on day five of his trial. He had previously been convicted of rape but the conviction was later quashed.

Evans told police that women "throw themselves at him" and that it is "part and parcel of being a footballer."

Evans told officers he had previously been in threesomes with his fellow footballer Clayton McDonald, jurors heard.

Evans said: “Me and Clay were in a threesome when we lived together in Manchester about four or five years ago.

“It’s not a normal thing but in the situation we’re in things like that happen. The girls like it. They’ve got two footballers there.

“Footballers are rich and girls like that.”

Cardiff Crown Court heard the complainant woke up naked and confused in a room at the Premier Inn in Rhyl which had been paid for by the Wales striker.

On the third day of the case, jurors heard the complainant arrived at a friend’s house around an hour after waking up alone on May 30 before banging on the door loudly.

The witness, who cannot be named, told police in a statement: “When I opened the door she was crying hysterically. She was sobbing, trying to catch her breath and I gave her a hug to calm her down.

“When she calmed down, she told me that she had woken up in the Premier Inn naked and had no idea how she had got there.”

Evans, now playing for Chesterfield, denies rape.

The trial continues.
