Family’s hen beat odds of one billion to one and lays perfectly round egg
IT’S one for the family albumen — a pet chicken has laid a perfectly round egg.
Rescue hen Twinskie beat odds of one billion to one with the spherical stunner.
Owner Annabel Mulcahy found the freak fryer in her coop’s nesting box on Saturday morning.
She said: “I opened the box and it was there, a perfect circle.
“I googled and it was quoted that it’s a one in a billion. It’s weird.
"I had to do a double- take. I can roll it on the table like a marble.”

Annabel, of Brize Norton, Oxon, has kept chickens since 2002, rescuing more of them as her daughters took more of an interest.
Twinskie normally produces oval oeufs but her latest effort is not destined for the dinner plate.

Annabel said: “I’ve put the egg for sale on eBay, where some have gone for prices like £480 in the past.
“What I get will go towards getting an extra run so I can rescue more chickens.

“They’re so friendly. If I’m in the garden, they’ll come and sunbathe at your feet.
“Twinskie has the nickname Labrador because she’ll follow you round.”
