Home Office officials attempt to censor report on ministers’ failure to tackle extremism

THE Government’s integration tsar is fighting a bid to have her report on ministers’ failure to tackle extremism watered down.

Home Office officials are attempting to censor Dame Louise Casey’s review which highlights damning failures.

It blasts ministers’ efforts to to tackle extremism, the impact of mass migration and the integration of minority groups.

According to report her review has been ready for months but has been delayed due to “concerns” from civil servants about its content and language.

A spokesman for the Home Office said: “Louise Casey was commissioned in 2015 to review what more we can do to create more cohesive communities in England. The report will be published in due course.”

Dame Casey was appointed by David Cameron last year to review social integration, segregation and how to prevent extremism and hate.

She was previously the tsar for troubled families dealing with anti-social behaviour.
