Three teen ‘witnesses’ traced by cops in hunt for missing RAF man Corrie McKeague who vanished on night out
Police had appealed for trio to come forward after they were seen on CCTV close to where the serviceman was last seen
POLICE searching for a missing RAF serviceman today revealed they were speaking to three possible witnesses.
Corrie McKeague, 23, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, at around 3.20am on 24 September.
It is believed he may have tried to walk the ten miles back to his base at RAF Honington over two weeks ago.
The girl and two boys were seen towards the back of Cornhill Walk shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds around 4.20am on the morning Corrie went missing.
Cops said the trio – said to be between the ages of 16 and 18 – could have been some of the last people to see Corrie before he disappeared.
But they have now traced the possible witnesses who were caught on CCTV in Short Brackland near to the time Corrie was last seen and will be speaking with them shortly.
Security camera footage has shown the area was comparatively busy between 3am and 6am.
