As the victim crossed the road she was approached by two males from behind before one of the men pulled down the headscarf she was wearing and ran away.
The attack took place on Wednesday September 28 and has been described as "a racially motivated assault" by police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “The victim was not injured but was shocked and distressed by the incident.”
