Keir Starmer fails to sack 3 frontbenchers for backing strikers after firing Angela Rayner’s partner over protest
LABOUR leader Sir Keir Starmer has refused to sack three of his frontbenchers for standing on picket lines — in defiance of his own orders.
Shadow Levelling Up Secretary Lisa Nandy was snapped beside strikers from the Communication Workers Union in Wigan.
Navendu Mishra joined a picket line in Stockport and Imran Hussain one in Bradford.
He said he was “proud to stand in solidarity” with CWU members.
Sir Keir had said Labour needs to be in power and “a government doesn’t go on picket lines”.
The Sun understands the three won’t be sacked as he tries to keep union paymasters onside.
