After having three kids the one bed council house in Pimlico, Westminster, is severely overcrowded.

And environmental health agents told her the third floor flat is “unsafe to live in” because of mould on the walls.

It follows Sara being hospitalised while 13 weeks pregnant with doctors claiming the rot was to blame.

Sara said: “At 13 weeks pregnant, I was taken to hospital with breathing problems.

Our council house was so dangerous it was deemed UNINHABITABLE & we had to move

“I had asthma and other breathing difficulties I had never had before.

“Doctors said they usually only see these problems in people above 70 or who smoke, I have never smoked and am 36.

“Doctors were confused until I told them about the mould in my house, they all agreed this was the reason for my difficulties.”

Sara claimed her three kids are developing breathing problems and don’t have space to play or do homework because of the condition of the property.

Sara said: “Environmental health said we shouldn’t be living in the house, it’s too cold, it’s mouldy and it’s overcrowded.

“My kids don’t have space to play or do their homework, I am feeling sad but there are no other options.

“I have been looking everyday for a bigger flat.

A spokesperson from Peabody said: “This is a really difficult situation as a one-bedroom flat is clearly not suitable for Ms Kardarma and her family.

“Severe overcrowding can often contribute to the issue, and we would like to be able to find a bigger home for them.

“Ms Kardarma does have a high priority for rehousing but there is an acute shortage of three-bedroom homes in the Westminster area which is why it is not easy.”
