THIS is the moment a hapless burglar tried to cover his tracks by cleaning a kitchen counter with bleach - but was caught on camera as he bent over to reach for the bottle.
The bungling crook, who was wearing a dark cap and gloves, was captured on a secret security camera using a bottle of Dettol surface cleaner to destroy evidence of the break-in.

He was caught on film after breaking into the home in Solihull, West Mids, last month.
The thief smashed a glass panel in the porch before unlocking the front door at some point between 6.45pm and 9pm on September 18.
He stole jewellery, electronics and a substantial amount of cash which was on various currencies before he fled through a side door.

Police say they are now hunting the man and released the footage to help with identifying him.
A police spokesman said: “We've relaunched an appeal alongside new footage of a man we want to trace after a property in Solihull was broken into last month.
“It’s understood that the suspect got into the porch then smashed a glass panel before unlocking the front door."

In their appeal the police added: “A number of items were stolen including jewellery, electronics and a substantial amount of cash in various currencies - he then left through a side door.
“We previously released images and are now releasing CCTV footage and are appealing to the public to help identify the suspect.”
