A HUSBAND has pleaded guilty to killing his wife after running her over with a car in front of their young child back in April.
Shawn Christopher Sturgeon, 38, accepted charges of one count of criminal homicide or automobile homicide and one count of domestic violence in the presence of a child.
Sturgeon and his wife, Charlotte Sturgeon, 29, got into an argument while at the Salt Lake City International Airport with their young child in April, police said at the time.
The family had just gotten back from vacation, according to court documents.
Surveillance from the incident appeared to show Charlotte walking to the rear passenger side of the car and opening the door before Sturgeon started to reverse the vehicle, reported.
Charlotte lost balance as Sturgeon stopped the car suddenly.

First responders who rushed to the scene told the local Fox affiliate that he "smelled strongly of alcohol and had glassy bloodshot eyes."
Cops also claimed Sturgeon told them: "I ran my wife over," "I killed my wife," and "I accidentally ran her over."
