Brit who ran off with Ukrainian refugee slapped with restraining order barring him from approaching his ex
A LOVE-RAT who ran off with a Ukrainian refugee just ten days after she moved in with his family was yesterday barred from approaching his ex.
Antony Garnett, 29, was ordered not to contact Lorna, 28 — mum to their two daughters — after she took him to court over allegations he sent her abusive texts.
He was also warned not to go within 100 metres of the home the couple shared in Bradford before he fell for refugee Sofiia Karkadym, 22, from Lviv.
Tony agreed to the non-molestation restraining order without admissions.
It bars him phoning, texting or emailing Lorna and contacting her by social media.

“I know the truth. I’ve done nothing wrong. I didn’t turn up with a solicitor because I don’t have anything to defend. Sadly, this is turning into an episode of Jeremy Kyle.”
The couple are not married but Lorna adopted Tony’s surname by deed poll.
She has now agreed not to make “derogatory” messages about him on social media and to remove previous posts.
She fumed: “I want nothing to do with him. I just want him to leave me alone.”

Tony arrived at Bradford county court in shades and a grey chequered suit without Sofiia, who fled Ukraine after Russia invaded in February.
Lorna, sat at the back of the court as her solicitor, Sadia Ali, detailed the terms of the restraining order.
Tattooed Tony, who is launching a career as a rap artist, told the court: “I’m that busy now with media, TV and music that I don’t need to go to the house.”
We told how Tony fell for Sofiia after offering her a place to stay when she left her homeland.
He collected her from Manchester Airport after Sofiia jetted in from Germany where she had waited for her visa to get government approval.
She flew there from Poland.
Two weeks later, Lorna grew suspicious and ordered Sofiia to leave.
Tony packed his bags and went with her.
He later apologised for the pain they had caused but insisted: “We’re planning the rest of our lives together. I knew I couldn’t give her up.
"We never set out to do this. It wasn’t planned and we didn’t mean to hurt anyone.”
He added: “If the UK was invaded we’d hope the rest of the world would help.
“That’s all I wanted to do, but things took a very unexpected twist.”
