Dad kills his ex-girlfriend in front of their seven-month-old daughter AFTER writing Facebook apology claiming he’s ‘not a bad person’

A FATHER who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend in front of their seven-month-old daughter wrote an apology on Facebook – hours before carrying out the savage slaying.
Ethan Reid, 23, has been charged with murder after he blasted 20-years-old Kaylah Hodges in a drunken rage at his mother’s home in Scottsville, Kentucky on Monday.
However, hours before the disturbing crime, Reid ranted on social media asking for forgiveness.
He posted: "Sorry guys. I'm truly not this bad of a person. I've been pushed to this point over of time. I'm disappointed (sic) in myself too. I could have been so much more. It's so sad."
"I'm a terrible person overall. Learn from my mistakes. Just know this was never my intentions. I love all of you. I'm just not meant to be happy. Ever. I'm sorry. I love you all. Xoxo."
The couple’s relationship had reportedly ended last week after five years together.
According to Allen County Sheriff Department, Reid used a powerful 20-gauge shotgun to slaughter his former partner.
The killer’s mother, April Riley, was handed the baby girl by Hodges, who was originally from Tennessee, before she was gunned down.
The infant was not injured.
Speaking with , an emotional April said: "Kaylah handed me the baby and got around me, and Ethan shoved me and the baby back and went after her.
"And then I heard a 'pop' and when I got to the edge of the hallway I saw her fall out the front door."
"That beautiful baby has no parents."
Riley confirmed that her son was drunk and was disarmed by a neighbour who then used the murder weapon to strike Reid on the head.
The heroic neighbour sat on the killer until the police arrived and arrested the father-of-one.
Hodges was taken to hospital but died from her horrific injuries.
Reid, who was treated in hospital for the wounds he sustained while grappling with his neighbour, is being held in custody.
The killer’s Facebook page is awash with happy snaps of his baby daughter in an album titled ‘the first year’.
There are also haunting images from the family’s holiday to the Florida coast from last week.
