Deliveroo customer wins David and Goliath legal battle after her burger & chips arrived THREE hours late
A DELIVEROO customer has won a David and Goliath legal battle with the firm after her burger and chips arrived three hours late.
Fae Holliday, 27, was promised her “baconator” with fries would be delivered within 30 minutes.
It arrived just after midnight — long after Fae had given up hope and gone to bed on an empty stomach.
She refused to take the £37.50 meal and demanded a refund.
But Deliveroo ignored her complaints, charged her the full price and just thanked her for the feedback.
Factory manager Fae then took the company to court and Deliveroo offered no evidence, settling for £75.

It paves the way for other customers to make similar claims.
Fae, of Leeds, said: “I took a stand and I’m so pleased I won — not just for me, but for other people.
"I tried to get a refund from Deliveroo but it was like talking to a robot.
“I spent an hour arguing with them so I decided to give them a headache.
"If I’d lost, I’d have faced some hefty fees.”
Deliveroo apologised, saying: “We’re pleased to have reached a resolution and the claim has been settled.”
