Ex-SAS hero Andy McNab slams Kim Kardashian’s ‘ego-driven’ security team for craving publicity when they should be working
The former soldier joins a growing list of security experts who have criticised the star's security
FORMER SAS soldier Andy McNab has slammed Kim Kardashian's security team, saying they failed to protect her in Paris because they were enjoying "too much publicity".
Referring to the high profile her hulking minder Pascal Duvier has developed, McNab added that good bodyguards "shouldn't be seen or known of".
McNab, who was captured during combat in the Gulf War, was responding to criticisms levelled at the Kardashian's security team.
Despite the reality star's huge profile and vast wealth, her team were unable to prevent her being bound and gagged by masked attackers in a raid on her Paris apartment.
The men - believed to be masquerading as cops - made of with as much as £9million of jewellery and valuables.
He tweeted: "Why did Kim K's security fail? "Because big guys feed ego and bodyguards shouldn't be seen or known of.
He went on: "If you have a multi-million dollar ring and you’re sporting it on Instagram or Snapchat, what does it cost to put on an off-duty or retired police officer who is trained and armed.
"They could probably have prevented this happening.
"As a former police officer it would have taken me two minutes to realise those guys weren’t real officers."
