THOUSANDS of tourists swarm the Great Wall of China in this astonishing scene.
The famous landmark was rammed with visitors during the week-long holiday following National Day on Saturday.
On Monday a queue around 98 feet (30 metres)-long was captured by the state-owned China News Service at a bus station near Badaling.
This is one of the most visited sections of the Great Wall, which measures more than 5,000 miles.
Some sections date back to 7th century BC.
Hundreds of tourists were also reported at other landmarks, such as Shanghai’s The Bund and Hangzhou’s West Lake, during the national holiday.
The heatwave saw the country’s busy beaches pushed to breaking point when the mercury hit 40C.
