'YOU'LL NEVER SEE HIM'

Logan Mwangi’s dad fights back tears as he reveals ‘nasty’ message his ex sent him before murdering his son

LOGAN Mwangi’s dad fought back tears today as he revealed the “nasty” message his evil ex sent him before murdering his son.

Five-year-old Logan was found with “severe injuries” likened to falling from a great height or a “high velocity” car crash after being dumped like “fly-tipped rubbish” in a river.

His mum Angharad Williamson, 30, stepdad John Cole, 40, and the 14-year-old son of Cole’s ex partner were all jailed for Logan’s murder last month.

But dad Ben Mwangi, who had been blocked from seeing Logan by Williamson, had no idea of the horrific abuse his child was facing.

Holding back tears in an emotional interview on Good Morning Britain, Ben said: “I had no knowledge or no idea about what was going on.

“When their relationship started was the last time I had contact with Logan.

“I was prevented from seeing him, not by the courts, by her and John.”

The grieving dad said as soon as Cole “stepped on the scene everything changed” and “everything fell apart”.

And he said Williamson sent him a message banning him from seeing his son and he lost all contact.

Ben told GMB’s Susanna Reid: “She sent me a nasty message saying ‘Logan’s got a family now, Logan doesn’t need me, I’m never going to see my son again’.

“I never thought it would be like that.”

Williamson blocked Logan’s dad from seeing his son in April 2019 – around the time her relationship with Cole started.

She said the far-Right monster, who had links to the National Front, became obsessed with the idea Williamson was cheating on him with Ben.

Tragic Logan suffered 56 external injuries to his head, face, torso arms and legs from “blunt force trauma”.

And during a harrowing trial, jurors were told how the youngster had suffered horror abuse leading up to his death.

But although the tot was referred to social services just months before he died amid fears for his safety, his dad was not made aware.

‘LOGAN’S LAW’

Ben is now fiercely campaigning for a new law, Logan’s Law, to protect kids from being killed by members of their own family.

The tormented dad said today: “Logan’s Law is going to be about letting estranged parents like myself know when my child is known to child services.

“If I’d have known I would have worked with the social services and said I’m taking him away from this hostile environment.”

Logan was pulled from Ogmore River close to his home in Bridgend, South Wales, in mis-matched pyjamas in July last year.

Cole and the teen were chillingly seen on CCTV carrying the youngster’s lifeless body to the river in the early hours of the morning.
