Teen cyclist, 17, airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car

A TEENAGE cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in Crookhorn Lane, Waterlooville, following reports of a 17-year-old boy being hit by a Honda at around midday.
The teen was found to have suffered from serious injuries after falling from the bicycle and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
The road was closed for three hours.
A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.10pm today to a crash between a car and a cyclist.
"The cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was flown by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital."
The road has since reopened and no arrests have been made.
