Mystery as porn star is found dead naked tied to a tree after being seen on CCTV with man

A JAPANESE porn star's naked body has been found tied to a tree in a remote forest, police said.

Rina Arano, 23, had last been seen alive on June 5 with a mystery man three days before she was reported missing.

She was filmed on CCTV outside a train station in Ibaraki Prefecture getting into a car with 33-year-old Hiroyuki Sampei.

Arano's family reported the adult video star as missing after they went three days without hearing from her and having their calls unanswered.

On June 8, the police started their search.

Her naked body was found on June 14 in the forest tied to a tree.

She was then identified by fans when police released a description of the victim.

Her fans reportedly realised who she was from her distinctive mole and teeth.

A police statement said: "Rina Arano was tied to a tree without clothes and has been dead for almost two weeks.

"We are still trying to determine the cause of death.

"The man she was with was already questioned.";

Her body was found a mile away from a luxurious villa owned by the man who collected her from the station.

Sampei, an office worker, was arrested on June 14 on suspicion of kidnapping and illegally detaining Arano at the villa.

He denied the allegations and claimed that he took Arano to the villa and later dropped her off at a nearby store.

The pair knew each other from talking on Twitter before he picked her up at the Mito Station.

Officers searched woodland near the villa and found Arano's decomposing body near a cliff just feet from the roadside.

Post-mortem examination results released on June 21 showed that Arano suffered a broken hyoid bone - the bone in the neck that supports the tongue.

She sustained no other injuries and while her cause of death remain inconclusive, police claim that there is a possibility that she could have been strangled.

A mattress in the basement of the villa was found together with items which indicated that someone was staying there.

Sampei's phone - which allegedly had pictures of Arano in handcuffs - was seized as evidence.

He claimed that the pictures were taken with Arano's consent and that he doesn't know what happened to her after they left the house.

Hiroyuki Sampei is yet to be charged since as cops are yet to conclude their investigation.
