One woman killed and four rescued on active Popocatépetl volcano after terrifying explosion of debris
ONE woman is dead and four others have been rescued after an active volcano spewed toxic debris.
The terrifying incident unfolded early Friday morning at the Popocatépetl volcano in Puebla, Morelos, in central .
According to the local outlet , the rescue mission involved several emergency bodies who managed to lower five climbers from the volcano.
A woman reportedly died after the volcano ejected toxic gasses and volcanic rock.
Two others sustained injuries, reports.
The State of Mexico's Civil Protection and Risk Management team said the volcano currently presents an "emission of water vapor and gas with low ash content."
