Chilling footage online shows the thirteenth floor of a fifteen storey block of flats ablaze on Grantham Road in Manor Park.

Around 60 people left the building before the Brigade arrived.

It is unclear at this stage if anyone has been hurt in the blaze.

It is understood around half of the flat is alight.

Fire crews from Ilford, Stratford, Leytonstone, Plaistow, Dagenham and surrounding fire stations are at the scene, the LFB confirmed.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

The Sun Online has contacted the London Fire Brigade for comment.
