DATE WITH THE DEVIL

Did evil cabbie Christopher Halliwell brutally murder three women on the anniversary of being dumped by his girlfriend?

The sick killer’s victim Sian O'Callaghan went missing on March 19 – the same date as two other historic cases he has been linked to

SADISTIC double murderer Christopher Halliwell may have killed three women on the same date he was dumped by an ex-girlfriend.

The depraved former cab driver, 52, from Swindon, was jailed for life last month for the senseless slayings of Becky Godden, 20, in 2003 and Sian O'Callaghan, 22, in 2011.

However cops are now investigating a variety of other missing persons cases in the belief that Halliwell was a serial killer.

And while he was 40-years-old when he killed Godden, his first known victim, it is highly likely that he began slaughtering women long before that.

Tragic O'Callaghan was reported missing on March 19, the same date as two other unsolved cases which Halliwell has been linked to.

Now Godden's grieving mum Karen Edwards, who has conducted her own investigation into her daughter's killer, says March 19 was a significant date for the warped cab driver.

Speaking with the Mail Online, she said: "That was the day Halliwell broke up with a girlfriend."

Former detective superintendent Steve Fulcher has suggested Halliwell could have been involved with the disappearance of Linda Razzell, who vanished on her way to work in Swindon on March 19, 2002. Her body has never been found.

Her husband Glyn Razzell, was sentenced to life in prison for her murder but claims to be innocent and the victim of a conspiracy.

Halliwell reportedly carried out some building work on Razzell house and allegedly became besotted with her.

Mr Fulcher said: "We know that Hailliwell has killed women, has a propensity for killing women, and had a direct relationship with Linda Razzell.

"Whether or not he’s responsible for those murders isn’t the issue. The issue is why was no investigation conducted into those issues?"

Mr Fulcher resigned from Wiltshire Police in 2014 after being found guilty of gross misconduct for failing to follow the proper procedures when arresting Halliwell in 2011.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, the ex-detective who described Halliwell as a "serial killer" had said "police want to interview me about eight murders" in a phone call from prison.

"There's no question, from all the information I gathered when I was running this inquiry in 2011, that he has committed other murders," he added.

Another disturbing case that Halliwell has been linked to is Claudia Lawrence who disappeared on March 19, 2009.

The missing chef’s father Peter Lawrence, 70, wants officers to “take this seriously” after a senior detective claimed Halliwell could have had something to do with his daughter’s case.

The desperate dad also slammed cops for releasing the suspicion to the public before police could look into it properly.

He said: "North Yorkshire Police obviously need to take this seriously and see if there is anything to it.

"We have been through this so many times over the past seven years

"Similar things are happening and you just want it to be either found to be true and then it can be put to bed, or found not to be true and we can forget it."

The earliest known historic case which Halliwell has been linked to is Sally Ann John, 23, who was a prostitute working in Swindon when she disappeared on September 8, 1995.

Not only did the sick murderer live yards from Sally Ann, but he also admitted in court to using call girls before and during his marriage.

Her father Glyn John, contacted Wiltshire Police, when the killer was arrested for the murder of O’Callaghan in 2011

He said: “I went to the police and told them Sally Ann would have been known to Halliwell.”

Tragic Sally Ann’s body has never been found and her case was upgraded to a murder inquiry in 2014 shortly after Halliwell was charged with Becky’s murder.
