Female cop fired for using racial slur in sexy Snapchat selfie wearing her police uniform
Melissa Adamson, from McKeesport Pennsylvania, was sacked after the pouting pic came to light
A FEMALE cop has been sacked after using a racial slur in a sexy Snapchat selfie – wearing her police uniform.
The snap shows Melissa Adamson, from McKeesport Pennsylvania, in full police garb pouting as she peeks over the top of her aviator-style sunglasses.
But it is not so much the image itself as the message that came with it which got her in trouble.
The selfie comes with the caption: “I’m the law today n*****”
Adamson protested her innocence when confronted by journalists, saying she wasn’t racist and claiming to have been set up.
She told Pittsburgh's Action News 4: "I'm not a racist. That's not how I plan on portraying myself.
"I love my job. I love what I do. It's what I want to do for the rest of my life."
She blamed a row with another former cop for the picture being circulated.
She told : "He's bringing up his dirt, ruining my career, which has been done.
“Everyone that knows me knows I don't have a racist bone in my body.”
