Three charged over ‘murder’ of dad-of-one whose remains found dumped in woodland

THREE people have been charged with the murder of a dad-of-one whose remains were found dumped in woodland over two years ago.

Mohammed Shah Subhani, known as Shah, vanished back in May 2019 when he failed to return to his home in Hounslow, West London.

The 27-year-old's remains were found months later in Beaconsfield, Bucks., on December 19.

Amraj Poonia, 26, of Horley, Surrey; Raneel Poonia, 25, of Slough, Bucks; and Gurditta Singh, also 25, of Slough, were on Friday charged with murder and perverting the course of justice, Scotland Yard said.

They are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

At the time Mr Subhani went missing, an extensive search was carried out to help find him.

Dozens of Met Police homicide detectives were involved in the operation, which was guided by a forensic archaeologist.

Police had also offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction in the case.

Speaking after the tragic find, Mr Subhani's sister, Quirat, said: "It broke our hearts and shattered our world when we were told Shah's body was discovered in an abandoned woodland 15 miles from home.

"This will haunt us for a lifetime."
