Officers in an armoured vehicle, along with paramedics, dashed to the scene on Wednesday evening.

They arrived and found what appeared to be the body of a biker wearing a hoodie with a leather jacket and ripped jeans and blood pouring from a head wound.

But they were stunned when they got closer and realised the victim was actually a lifelike dummy placed there by sick pranksters.

The hoaxers had even squirted a pool of ketchup on the road in Tipton, West Mids., next to the head of the fake body to make it look like blood.

He told his 4,116 followers: "Someone has found it funny to place this in the road....had all emergency services racing towards thinking it was a serious incident!"

The senior officer added: "Numerous ambulances and police resources, including an armed response vehicle, attended the scene on blue lights.

"Thankfully it wasn't something awful but it certainly wasted a huge amount of resource time."
